Five at the First Series Continues With The Mercer-Oh Trio

Rachel Mercer, Artistic Director of the 5 at The First chamber music series, shares:
"triOH" is a program of great piano trios by Smetana, Haydn and Canada's Jean Lesage, played by sisters Akemi and Rachel Mercer & Gregory Oh. We have known eachother for years and have collaborated on complete cycles of trios by Haydn (45!) and Dvorak, as well as numerous works of new music, Gregory Oh's speciality. 
Having performed all 45 of his Piano Trios, the Mercer-Oh Trio showcases Haydn’s genius with one of his most astonishing and extraordinary trios. Find out why Smetana's passionate and tune-filled trio had much personal significance, and re-discover Mozart after hearing Canadian Jean Lesage's Projet Mozart.
