"Music of the Americas" program to include Ramirez, Bernstein, and Whitacre
Music in the 20th century travelled beyond the previous centuries' European centre, bringing exciting new musical works from the United States, Canada and South America. Join conductor David Holler and the Mohawk College Community Choir on Saturday, March 28th, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Church, 29 Park Street, Dundas, as they perform Ariel Ramirez’s Misa Criolla, Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, and more compositions from North and South America. Featured soloists will include tenor Conor Murphy and baritone Daniel Robinson, both Vocal Performance majors at the University of Toronto. A reception in the church parlour will follow the performance where you can meet the artists. Tickets are $25 general admission and $20 for students/seniors and may be reserved by calling (905) 526-7938 or purchased at the door.
