Hallowe'en Organ Recital Back For A Third Year!

The King of Instruments shows off its power to amaze for Hallowe’en

Friday, October 30, 2015, 7:30 p.m.

A HALLOWE’EN ORGAN RECITAL is an exciting new venture in Hamilton, sponsored by the Hamilton Centre of the Royal Canadian College of Organists. And what better location than the beautiful St Paul’s Presbyterian Church, one of Hamilton’s (and Canada’s) Gothic Revival masterpieces?

The short, hour-long concert features local performers Blair Havers, Simon Irving, Christopher Hunt, Andy Elmhirst, Brendan Culver, Paul Grimwood, and Michael Bloss. Featured music includes the famous BoĆ«llmann "Toccata Gothique", the Funeral March of a Marionette, the Bach Toccata and Fugue in d minor, and of course the theme from the Phantom of the Opera.

Reading of some Hallowe’en Poetry will also help to set the mood!

This will be a great event for children and young people, and will not be a late night. We had a wonderful crowd of nearly 200 , many of them children. Last year toddlers and children enjoyed this as much as the adults did!

The concert takes place at St Paul’s Presbyterian Church, James Street South at Jackson Street, Hamilton, on Friday, October 30, at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, but a free-will donation will be received at the door.
